Holy Moly Country Bird Bakery!
This morning, in and during thundering and rain, and OM Goodness, still the long line.
Congrats to Country Bird Bakery team for being the first James Beard award winner for Tulsa.
Now I have a valid excuse and a place to blame for being called a dough boy!
Cat, I have registered and been on a waiting’s list for your training class, I do not give up, I hope to find a spot one of this weekend.
Ohh My Goodness!

I have been waiting moths for a free Saturday that let me travel 100+ miles to purchase my own baked items. Was totally worth the wait and the drive!

NYT's piece doesn't do what CBB and their owner is doing, bringing stupendous baked items with a genuine personal and local flourish to Tulsa.
Forgive lack of photographic evidence, items were eaten too quickly.
Baguette was flawless, sesame loop was good but tad too crusty, suspect was baked first during this week's iteration. Blondie was best I've ever had, subtle pecan flavor, perfect texture and sweetness. Chocolate CC was stellar. Focaccia prosciutto jam sandwich was unique and as good as any sandwich anywhere. Croissant was unique, sourdough, fantastic.

This place is a gem! They have a great variety and the most unique and delicious flavor combinations in the city. We stood in line before opening but it was totally worth it. The staff was extremely friendly and took the time to chat and help you make your selections even though they had a line around the block. The atmosphere was energetic, positive, and unique to Country Bird. I will definitely be back. Excellent customer service, atmosphere, and of course the pastries were out of this world!

Rain or shine I’m very impressed by the crowd this bakery brings out. They have very limited hours but when you go, expect to be in line for at least an hour or two. They do have an option that you can purchase a loaf ahead of time that’s online, but you still have to wait in line to get it. When we went we ended up just getting a bag of goodies to try out to make it worth waiting so long. Overall we enjoyed the experience and goods!

This was such a fun experience! We got there a little before they open and we waited in line about an hour maybe a little more. It was drizzling and they provided umbrellas for us to use as we waited. The building is very small with maybe 10-15 people inside at one time. The service is super fast once you're inside. They have everything laid out in plain view and you just let them know what you want and they bag it up for you. They have so many options from plain croissants, filled pastries, flavored butters, fresh sourdough, and take and bake dough. They are open every other Thursday which is usually less busy but they may sell out sooner. I feel there is more variety on Saturdays. Follow their Facebook and Instagram where they post the offerings available that week. I tried the maple blonde which was so amazing! I also got an espresso supreme but my favorite was the pecan double baked croissant 😋If you love bread you HAVE TO GO HERE!

Everything I tried was absolutely delicious! The only small note I have is about the hazelnut double-baked croissant, the hazelnuts were very soft and I think toasting them before that second bake would really enhance the texture and bring out its great flavor. Other than that, the place was wonderful.

We arrived before opening on a Saturday and waited in line for 40 minutes (which we expected) and were able to order coffee from a Pony Coffee truck, which was delicious.
Once inside, incredible smells overtook us and we lost the plot. Ordered so many treats! The single best thing, other than the bread, was the service. Cat and co. were calm, patient, and cheerful as they served us despite the pressure of so many hungry patrons. The didn’t appear ruffled in the least- a rare feat in the service industry! The bread was still warm; we enjoyed it in the car. We are so glad we were able to enjoy Country Bird Bakery while in Tulsa.

A little pricy for the typical baker, however definitely NOT over priced for quality! 10/10 every single time I arrive I am blown away at the exceptional quality of EACH AND EVERY PASTRTY 👌 each one is deserving of its own magical beauty ✨️ created by a team of wonderful women who always have a sparkle in their eyes! You can tell that this is a place of love! Comfort is home, but this place takes you somewhere special you'll call close too. Overall worth the wait when there is a line. And DEFINITELY DEFINITELY WORTH THE PENNY 😇

GREAT, GOT blueberry scones Cherry twist and this weeks featured Bread. Loved the cherry think the best, my son prefered the Blueberry, the bread got a little smashed but still good. Do not let the line scare you it moves fast and they are excellent about moving people through while still making you feel special, Oh i got the make at home Cinnamon rolls too, they took the time to give great instructions and the Topping was the best ever ( not your standard Butter cream, a little citrus i think whatever it was, improved on a classic )
